We then made our way to the top of the complex via escalators rather than the stairs as Sue was looking after my own interests..hahaha, we finally got to the top admiring the breathtaking views of the city but couldn't see Mount Ararat clearly due to the haze and cloud cover.
Moving on we had to walk the rest of the hill to reach the summit of the Cascade Complex by this stage I had lost 2 more kilos due to a natural phenomenon called sweat!! 😂 but we made it to the monument of the Golden Leaf. After getting our breath back we walked over to Victory Park which was the highlight of the day for me.
Victory Park is mainly an amusement park built during the soviet era and it has a nostalgic soviet feel to it. It also leads on to the colossal statue of "Mother of Armenia" which is mainly a military museum honouring Armenia's war efforts.
Cabbed it back to the city as we were stuffed, stopped along the way to catch up with Jor's brother in law, Stepan and then headed back to our unit for a relaxing evening watching the Roosters v Rabbitohs semi final.
